Democrats slam Bush plan for fresh nuclear weapons

Article Abstract:

President Bush's plan to research and build new nuclear weapons has been facing several criticisms from critics who believe that this would only encourage global proliferation. Among the critics are the democrats, who denounced the plan as they believed that the energy department had more important issues to tackle than the creation of new nuclear weapons.

The article discusses whether the nuclear-weapons are safe and should be developed by the countries. Some people think that such weapons might lead to heavy destruction, where as there are people who consider the idea to be completely safe.
