Enough biodefense

Article Abstract:

The threat of an impending biological weapons attack by terrorists on the U.S. has forced the U.S. government to accelerate its investment in the biodefense complex. The residents of Boston's Roxbury district, where the biodefense complex is taking shape, have however sued the Boston University Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to try and block the construction of a $178m biodefense laboratory and this case has brought into focus the proliferation of such labs.
