Female pigeons, Columba livia, respond to multisensory audio/video playbacks of male courtship behaviour

Article Abstract:

Audio and video playback methods were used to test the significance of multisensory signals in male and female pigeons. The results suggest that the combination of audio and visual components of male courtship enhance the efficacy of the display.

Female-biased predation risk and its differential effect on the male and female courtship behaviour of jumping spiders

Article Abstract:

The probability of female jumping spiders being preyed upon more often than males by jumping spiders of other species, and its impact on the mating behavior of the spiders is discussed.
