Fishy futures

Article Abstract:

George Sugihara, with an academic career in biological oceanography, was lured by German bankers of one of the world's leading financial firms Deutsche Bank to devise models for deciphering price trends from masses of financial data. However, he has resumed his academic career, with plans to apply his experience in finance to marine conservation and harness market forces to prevent over-fishing by offering a structured financial environment for the worldwide catch and sale of fish.
