Fixing the feline

Article Abstract:

Some communities have adopted various strategies to tackle the problem of homeless and feral cats. Most of the strategies are focused on creating mobile and stationary sterilization clinics for cats. Strategies were presented by various states including San Jose, CA, and Houston, TX.

Animal passions: an interview with Jeffrey Masson

Article Abstract:

Jeffrey Masson, author of "When Elephants Weep" and "Dogs Never Lie" talks about his emotions toward animals. Masson is particularly interested in interspecies empathy. He would surmise that perhaps dogs hold the greatest capability for such feelings.

Many communities are legislating breeding laws due to the overpopulation of cats and dogs. Central to this new regulation is the spaying or neutering of cats and dogs or the application for a breeding permit.
