Gas for the greenhouse

Article Abstract:

A Dutch project OCAP uses gas pipelines between Rotterdam and Amsterdam to pump carbon dioxide released as a waste product from Shell's oil refinery to greenhouses, which need carbon dioxide emissions. This method of transferring carbon dioxide enables lesser use of the heaters needed to generate the gas in the greenhouses thus resulting in cost-cutting, and also helps in both the greenhouse and the refinery obtaining government credits for cutting overall carbon dioxide emissions.
