Gene manipulation on plastic plates
Article Abstract:
Oligonucleotide-immobilized plastic plates make the purifying of messenger RNA (mRNA) a much easier process. Genetics researchers have long sought a quicker way of producing samples of mRNA, a key material since it relays genetic information derived from genomic DNA. A new multipurpose interface system relying on the immobilization of oligonucleotides onto plastic microtiter plates will now enable researchers to obtain the samples necessary for determining precisely how mRNA works. The new purification method is simple enough to be used by experts and nonexperts alike.

Linkage disequilibrium in the human genome
Article Abstract:
Research exploring the possible usage of the linkage disequilibrium in the process of mapping genes in the human genomes causing disease is presented. Computer simulations are used to explore size and developments of linkage disequilibrium blocks.
