Harvesting multiple stocks of ducks

Article Abstract:

Duck harvesting activities were assessed based on regulatory restrictions and duck stock management techniques. Assessment of index of harvest based on monitoring direct recovery rates were influenced by the location of banding, age, class, sex, species and hunting regulation. In three reference areas, recovery indices showed that all species were represented in the harvest despite regulations favoring the protection of a species. The assessment showed deficiencies in selective harvesting.
