Mesoscopic behaviour of the neutral Fermi gas (super3)He confined in quantum wires

Article Abstract:

The quantum exclusion of a (super3)He fermion gas from a network of channels, linked to a reservoir of (super3)He/(super4)He solution, is demonstrating. Simple quantum mechanical arguments predict that the (super3)He atoms are unable to enter the channels if their wavelength exceeds the channel width by two times. Their average wavelength can be controlled by adjustments to the temperature of the solution.

A flat Universe from high-resolution maps of the cosmic microwave background radiation

A new study is reported that reveals the first high-resolution maps of the cosmic microwave background over a significant part of the sky.
