Article Abstract:

A project run by MEDES, the French Institute for Space Medicine and Physiology in Toulouse, is working on gathering more information on how the body responds to micro gravity and how to mitigate its damaging effects on physiology. In this project, twelve women are split into three groups, one to explore the effects of exercise, one to test a high-protein diet, and the other serving as a control.

Catch a falling star

Article Abstract:

Cliff Fleming's job was to pluck a NASA spacecraft from the sky as it glides down to Earth, alongwith a crack team of scientists, engineers and flight experts. On 8th Sept., the stunt pilot Dan Rudert and Fleming will attempt to prevent the first samples returning from space for 32 years from being destroyed on impact with the ground.

Article Abstract:

Researchers are looking for funds and ways to drill ice from close to bottom of the Dome Argus Mountain in Antarctica to find oldest possible ice core in the world and remove and study the air bubbles trapped in it. The air in the ice will help give information of ancient earth's climate.
