Loons in winter

Article Abstract:

The finding of the researchers that common loons from Adirondacks spend their winter months along the coasts of Cape cod, Long island Sound and New Jersey is crucial to implement an effective management plan for the species. This information would enable conservationists to better assess and address the impacts of oil spills, air pollution, botulism and other problems on common loon populations throughout tgusaheir range.

Gorilla group may be growing

Article Abstract:

An isolated population of rare Grauer's gorillas living among rebel armies and bands of poachers managed to survive mainly because of the heroic deeds of WCS conservationalists. The first ever Grauer's gorilla census conducted in the year 1996 found a population of 245 to 270 living in the mountain highlands of Kahuzi-Biega National Park.

Hardy invader lurks in San Francisco

Article Abstract:

The African clawed frog is called as indestructible, a survival machine after amphibian species showed up nearly in the year 2003 in Lily Pond in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Officials are drawing up an eradication plan involving explosives, chemicals, and pond drainage for these frogs.
