Article Abstract:

A description is presented of the experiences of a badly-neglected litter of puppies who suffered from severe frostbite. The rehabilitation of one of the puppies and his use as a therapy dog to help sick children are discussed.

Equine Advocates has saved 14 mules by buying them at auctions and finding them new homes. It is also raising awareness about the way in which mules are mistreated on Amish farms and then end up at slaughterhouses.
