Microbiology gaining ground after lean years

Article Abstract:

Microbiology is regaining some of its luster, and part of the revival is due to growing public concern about emerging diseases and biological weapons. Harvard Medical School in Boston, also established a Microbial Sciences Initiative, which created faculty positions for microbiologists elsewhere in the university.

Medical editors urged to accept ethical code

Article Abstract:

Editors of medical journals should account for their actions in the journals, according to a code of conduct for scientific publishing. More significant changes in editorial behavior are brought up through this code of conduct.
