Modern charts for ancient islands

Article Abstract:

The Conservancy began updating the cartography of the Galapagos, working with Ecuador's Center for Integrated Surveys of Natural Resources by Remote Sensors (CLIRSEN) and others. The Conservancy and CLIRSEN took satellite images and, through digital analysis, established control points throughout the islands to develop the new maps.

Turning turtle
