More flexibility for batteries

Article Abstract:

Polypropylene oxide of polyethylene dissolved in low-melting point lithium salts produced 'salt-in-polymer' electrolytes that are rubbery and good Li+-ion conductors even at ambient temperatures. These were incorporated in high-energy, high-power density rechargable lithium cells for use as batteries of electric vehicles.
