Charges of bribery leveled against one of the members of Nobel prize committee have been denied by te committee. A Swedish daily newspaper published articles accusing professor of neuroscience Tomas Hokfelt of the Karolinska Institute of accepting favors. Favors were allegedly offered by Italian drug company Fidia to support Levi-Montalcini's nomination for the 1986 Nobel prize for physiology or medicine.
