Rapid communication: nucleotide sequence of ovine C/EBP gene

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the nucleotide sequence of the ovine CCAAT/enhancer binding protein gene. cDNA from the ovine lung total RNA was utilized to obtain a 190-bp product while restriction enzyme fragments were determined by Southern blot analysis. Results indicated that the gene is preferentially expressed in granulocytes and lymphoid cells. Findings also showed that mice supporting a null mutation in the gene had impaired granulopoiesis.

Rapid communication: nucleotide sequence of bovine C/EBP delta gene

Article Abstract:

The C/EBP delta gene was cloned from the Japanese Black cattle genomic library. The nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequence of bovine C/EBP delta gene was derived by employing the DyeDeoxy Terminator Cycle Sequencing Kit. Results show that the gene is intron-free and the sequence is similar to the nucleotide and amino acid sequences of the mammalian genes found in humans, mice and rats.
