Rufus F. Cox, 1901-1982: a brief biography

Article Abstract:

Rufus F. Cox was born on June 13, 1901. He earned his B.S. degree in agriculture with a major in Animal Husbandry at Oklahoma A & M College. He received his Master's Degree with a major in Animal Breeding and a minor in Veterinary Physiology from Iowa State College. He attended Cornell University for his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics and Farm Management. He was a stockman, teacher, scientist and leader. He died on June 15, 1982, at the age of 81.

William Lewis Henning, 1900-1981: a brief biography

Article Abstract:

Agriculturist William Lewis Henning was born on a livestock farm in Defiance County, OH, on Jan 4, 1900. He received his B.S. degree in Agriculture from Ohio State University in 1917. Henning served as the Sec. of Agriculture of Pennsylvania, emphasizing on the importance of research to improve farm products in the state. He was also known for supporting the cause of small independent farms. Henning died on Ape 30, 1981 at the age of 81.

John H. Knox, 1898-1979: a brief biography

Article Abstract:

John Harvey Knox was born in Geauga County, OH, on Sep. 10, 1898. He earned his B.S. degree in Animal Husbandry at the Ohio State University in 1921. He received his M.S. degree in 1924 at the University of IllINNis, where he also became an instructor. He became an Associate Professor at Texas A&M in 1928 and was promoted as head of the Animal Husbandry Dept. at New Mexico A&M in 1935. He died on Feb. 15, 1979.
