Stable isotopic evidence for methane seeps in Neoproterozoic postglacial cap carbonates

Article Abstract:

The existing glacial deposit are covered with a 1-5-m-thick cap carbonates which are associated with negative carbon isotope excursions. These carbonate rocks were the result of destabilization of methane hydrates during deglaciation and concomitant flooding of continental shelves.

Bold insights

Article Abstract:

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) monitors variations in oxygen levels as the brain reacts to different stimuli. The relationship between the fMRI signal and neural activity is now being resolved.
