The DNA sequence and analysis of human chromosome 13

Article Abstract:

Chromosome 13, the largest acrocentric human chromosome, carries genes involved in cancer and contains the DAOA locus normally associated with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. The results of the analysis of this chromosome revealed that more than 95.4% of the protein-coding genes have been identified, while 105 putative non-coding genes were found.

DNA sequence and analysis of human chromosome 9

Article Abstract:

The human chromosome 9, is highly structurally polymorphic, contains the largest autosomal block heterochromatin, which is heteromorphic in 6-8% humans. The ability to use genomic information to develop new effective therapies will actually benefit from finished human chromosome sequences.

An SNP map of human chromosome 22

Article Abstract:

An evaluation is presented of two large-scale sequencing approaches to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and a map of 2,730 SNPs on human chromosome 22 is constructed.
