The building blocks of planets within the 'terrestrial' region of protoplanetary disks

Article Abstract:

The spatially resolved detections and compositional analyses of formation of clouds of gas and dust blocks in the innermost two astronomical units of three protoplanetary disks is reported. It is found that the dust in these regions are highly crystallized, more so than any other dust observed in young stars.

Discovery of a massive equatorial torus in the eta Carinae stellar system

Article Abstract:

Eta Carinae is an enigmatic object thought to represent a significant, but short-lived unstable phase in the life of massive stars. The presence of around 15 solar masses of material situated in the equatorial torus is reported. The torus could have developed from highly non-conservative mass transfer.

The central dusty torus in the active nucleus of NGC 1068

Article Abstract:

The interferometric mid-infrared observations for spatially resolving the dust structures in the galaxy NGC 1068 are discussed. There exists warm (320 K) dust in a structure 2.1 parsec thick and 3.4 parsec in diameter that surround a smaller hot structure.
