The clock's second hand

Article Abstract:

The huge quantity of magnesium isotope in the Allende meteorite, a primitive class of meteorite called carbonaceous chondrites gives a remarkable window on the environment, process and history that accompanied the earliest development of the Sun and planetary embryos. It is suggested that refined experimental techniques and better observational data will give a clear understanding of how the objects in chondrites were created and how dust was made and recycled in circumstellar disks.

Structure and thermal history of the H-chondrite parent asteroid revealed by thermochronometry

Article Abstract:

Thermochronogical study of unshocked H-chondrites reveals the history of an asteroid's formation. Internal heating created a layered form which took an estimated 160 million years to cool, while outer rocks experienced lower temperatures and faster cooling rates.

Photographic observations of Neuschwanstein, a second meteorite from the orbit of the Pribram chondrite

Article Abstract:

The fourth meteorite fall named Neuschwanstein and classified as an enstatite chondrite is reported. The atmospheric trajectory and pre-atmospheric orbit of the object from the photographic records are determined.
