The dark side

Article Abstract:

Evidence of the existence of dark matter in the Universe is plentiful, however, learning exactly what it is composed of is a difficult prospect. The article traces several cosmological theories about its composition, from particles like axions, to super-symmetric particles, to massive compact halo objects.

The Lyman-(alpha) glow of gas falling into the dark matter halo of a z=3 galaxy

Article Abstract:

A Ly(alpha) image of a dark matter (DM) halo at redshift z=3 galaxy and a two-dimensional spectrum of the gaseous halo is presented. Results suggest that the mass of the halo could be (2 - 7) x 10(super 12) solar masses.

Out of the dark ages

Article Abstract:
