Article Abstract:

Tunisian-born geologist Maurice Taieb, known for his exploration of the remote region of eastern Ethiopia, laid the foundation for the discovery of Lucy, the most famous fossil human ancestor. A report on a nearly complete skeleton of a three-year-old Australopithecus afarensis discovered from the newly explored sediments just south of the Lucy site, Zeresenay Alemseged, is presented.

The conflicts between the biologists and book publishers is explained, as there is disagreement about ants over the release of scientific monographs in print and online. According to the biologist, Edward Wilson, the age of the printed monograph is at its end.
