The perfect nanotube

Article Abstract:

A dual-beam coaxial laser technique in conjunction with metal-catalysis provides a synthetic route to perfect monodisperse nanotubes without unnecessary processing of crude materials. These tubes are synthesized as carbon ropes through the laser beam-vaporization of graphite rods. Each such rope contains upto a hundred single-walled monodisperse nanotubes packed together in a triangular lattice. Each tube seems to have a diameter of 13.8 Angstroms and the laithe as a whole exhibits diffraction. A (10,10) helicity allows the outermost edges of the tube to be capped by carbon-carbon triple bonds.

In the know

Article Abstract:

Knowledge-management software, has been cited as a possible solution for finding required answers to problems in larger groups and companies. It is an organizational memory bank that stores solutions to all problems from testing a candidate molecule to storing a glitch in a Knowledge-management softwarecomputer.
