Article Abstract:

The India Project for Animals and Nature (I-PAN) is a new group in Tamil Nadu, India formed to help the country's starving and sick animals. I-PAN is headed by Deanna Krantz, the field director of a New York-based group that sponsors educational and on-site programs from Africa to Amazon.

A victory against veal

Article Abstract:

Veal producers suffered a major setback when a federal jury in Milwaukee found Vitek Supply Corp. guilty of smuggling and selling drug-laced feed to veal farmers from 1988 to 1994. The case was triggered by an investigation led by the Humane Farming Assn.

Animal Liberation Victoria (ALV) claims that Australian egg giant Pace Farms is systematically abusing hens. ALV also contends that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has accepted money from Pace.
