Article Abstract:

Animal hide processing is an uneconomical and environmental hazardous business. In the US, animal hide comprises only about 6-7% of an animal's value when live. Processing of hides is harmful to both the environment and humans. Some of the harmful waste products are aniline dyes and chromium salts.

Article Abstract:

The demand for down or feathers from poultry and other fowls results in the slaughter of tens of thousands of birds each year. However, alternative insulating materials, such as synthetic fibers, can be used as substitutes to make the unnecessary killing of birds to stop.

The buzz about honey

Article Abstract:

Researchers revealed that bee species are facing threats of extinction due to massive commercial honey inbreeding and production. Further decreases may lead to adverse effects to other wildlife. It was also found that honey does not contain nutrients other than calories.
