A priest stresses the need for a forum that allows people to freely express their part in the maltreatment of animals. He claims that the animal movement should provide more opportunity for personal testimonies about animal cruelty. He also says that animal liberation will also liberate humans.

Animal circuses are the target of protests by animal activists because of reports that circuses mistreat the animals they use in their shows. Laws that will specifically govern the use of animals by circuses are being considered while some circuses' corporate sponsors have backed out.

A professional artist and animal activist is proud of her Indian heritage. She does not believe that her Ojibwas ancestors are animal killers for they are conservationists who are only forced to kill animals for survival.
