Venture capitalists tackle Chinese hurdles

Article Abstract:

Venture capitalists in China have got stuck as they are getting mixed signals from the Chinese government. The Chinese government has eased some restrictions on citizens' activities on foreign stock markets, and some venture capitalists are confident that China is moving in a positive direction and the market would continue to expand.

China struggles to square growth and emissions

Article Abstract:

A report suggest that China would exceed the U.S. as the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases as early as the end of 2007 and not 2010 as forecasted in earlier report. In an effort to rein in the increases in energy use China is planning to close down 50 gigawatts' worth of its least-efficient power plants by 2010.
