Vivisection protests march on

Article Abstract:

The animal rights movement, In Defense of Animals, headed protest activities in states, such as Oregon and New York, against the use of laboratory animals in April 1998. Groups, such as the Animal Defense League and Protect Our Earth's Treasures, also participated in the protests.

Vivisection: a window to the dark ages of science

Article Abstract:

Scientists experiment on animals on the premise that observations made on mammals can be extrapolated for humans. This has justified vivisection which violates the animals' right to life. However, studies made on animals have not produced improvements on medicines for humans.

Vivisection is one of the more crucial issues that most animal rights activists strongly oppose. Despite its moral implications, vivisection continues to persist with the blessings of the scientific community.
