Wildfire, Fuel Reduction, and Herpetofaunas across Diverse Landscape Mosaics in Northwestern Forests

Article Abstract:

Data on fire ecology for the Klamath-Siskiyou region between California and Oregon are reported. Findings indicate the need for more research on how fuel-reduction management techniques affect wildlife in this region.

Forest Structure and Fire Susceptibility in Volcanic Landscapes of the Eastern High Cascades, Oregon

Article Abstract:

Landsat thematic mapper and crown bulk density are found to be useful tools for fire risk assessment. The methods are applied to the eastern slopes of the Cascade Range in Oregon.
