X-ray structure of a protein-conducting channel

Article Abstract:

X-ray crystal structure of a heterotrimeric membrane protein complex, the Sec61 or SecY, from Methanococcus jannaschii is explained. The structure suggests functionality of heterodimer as translocating channel and revels mechanisms for signal-sequence recognition.

Structural rearrangements in the membrane penetration protein of a non-enveloped virus

Article Abstract:

The structural rearrangements in the membrane penetration protein of a non-enveloped virus are studied. It is seen that a coiled-coil stabilized trimer is revealed by the crystal structure.

Structure of the dengue virus envelope protein after membrane fusion

Article Abstract:

A description of how a Dengue virus enters a host cell and the aftereffects is discussed. A diagrammatic representation of the effects to illustrate the same is also given.
