Amendments to 'The DMA's Guidelines for Ethical Business Practice' recommended by the Direct Marketing Association became effective Jan 1998. The changes are expected to increase the public's confidence about consumer data collection and utilization, and include limiting the amount of data collected and restricting data collection from children.
