Legal Intelligencer newspaper bravely exposes protection of attorney accused of wrongdoing
Article Abstract:
The Legal Intelligencer has done an invaluable service when it exposed the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the State Disciplinary Board's practice of not making public knowledge lawyers who been punished by the board for wrongdoing. The practice started in 1977, when Chief Justice Michael Eagen ordered the board to distribute 'sanitized' reports to provide anonymity to the respondents. The Disciplinary Board has continuously complied with the order when it gives reports to the publisher of the Pennsylvania District and County Reports.

Princess Diana's Estate to refund Franklin Mint
Article Abstract:
Franklin Mint Corp will be paid nearly $23 million after a successful defense of a trademark infringement lawsuit filed by Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund. To be refunded by the Estate of UK's Princess Diana, the amount was spent for attorney's fees incurred by the company in its defense of the two-year legal battle. A US District Judge ruled that Franklin Mint's use of Princess Diana's name and photo on its products and in its advertisements was not an endorsement by the Princess Diana Estate.
