US Interactive & Digital Evolution merge
Article Abstract:
US Interactive has merged with Digital Evolution Inc., creating a new company called US Interactive Inc. that could possibly be the largest independent interactive professional services provider in the US. The combined company will have an estimated revenue of more than $20 million in 1998. The new company will have more than 200 full-time employees, with offices in Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, DC. US Interactive co-founders Larry Smith and Richard Masterson will become chief executive officer, and president and chief operating officer of the merged company, respectively. All senior management from Digital Evolution and US Interactive will keep their current posts.

Father and son merge companies
Article Abstract:
M and B Associates, a database management and mailing company headed by Michael J. Iorio, and Mega Group, a full-service marketing firm headed by Michael's son Mark Iorio, have merged to form Global Marketing and Information Technology (GMIT). The new company, which is the first of its kind in the US, will provide marketing programs and POMA compliant drug sampling for the drug industry. Both companies will be subsidiaries of GMIT, but will act as a single unit.
