South Jersey firms merge hardware & software businesses

Praxis Data Systems Inc, based in Mt Laurel, NJ, has purchased Camden County-based CompSultants Inc, according to executives of both companies. CompSultants' equipment and employees have been merged into Praxis and staff will operate from Praxis' offices. CompSultants designs, installs and supports for various businesses systems from Microsoft Corp, Novell Inc and SCO Unix, while Praxis serves as a systems integrator of computer hardware from Cisco Systems Inc, Compaq Computer Corp, Hewlett-Packard Co, Intel Corp and 3Com Corp.

Backe acquires MRO

MRO Advertising has sold certain assets to Backe Communications, one of the biggest marketing communications agencies in the Philadelphia, PA, area. MRO will cease to operate and will transfer its clients to Backe Communications. MRO's clients include well-known advertisers in insurance, health care and higher education. Backe Communications provides full- service advertising and marketing communications services, as well as prepress and desktop services.

New ownership at Pomco Graphics
Article Abstract:
Pomco Graphics, the Philadelphia, PA-based printing company, has been acquired by Pomco LLC, a firm established by long-time executives of the former. Harold Jacobs, former owner and president of Pomco Graphics, was appointed vice president of Pomco LLC while William Griffith will serve as sales manager. Other key personnel were also absorbed by the acquiring firm to ensure continuity of quality and service.
