Europeans are target for Osaka

Article Abstract:

Tourism managers in Osaka, in western Japan, hope that the recent opening of the Kansai International Airport will put Osaka firmly on the international tourism map. The city is popular with Korean tourists although tourism managers expect a growing number of visitors from Europe, particularly the UK. Most visitors are in the city on business and there is a need to develop attractions to encourage more visitors. The city is already planning a Universal Studios theme park and is seeking further conference and incentive business.
