Cosa anniversary
Article Abstract:
The American Academy in Rome celebrated its 50th year of excavations at Cosa in Tuscany in May 1998. Under the direction of Frank Brown, the site served as a training ground for American classical archaeologists after World War II. No Etruscan remains have been found there, but remains of a Roman colony established in the third century BC have been studied.
