Navajo voices
Article Abstract:
The Navajo world is strongly poetic but most photographs taken by non-Navajos tend to overlook the subtly profound character of the people and their unique culture. A Navajo photographer attributes his decision to become a photographer to his frustration over outsiders' erroneous attempts to 'tell' the Navajo story. He explains the philosophy underlying his work and how it paints an authentic picture of his people.

Pathetic fallacies
Article Abstract:
It is not uncommon for small factual mistakes in books to be perpetuated, as it is difficult for the mistakes to be caught. Sometimes the mistakes are made due to lack of knowledge, while other times the mistakes are caused by the authors. Readers who catch such mistakes may feel superior to the authors.
