The skeletal remains of Tyrannosaurus rex are considered extremely valuable, and the interests of commerce and science have clashed over them on several occasions. A collector named Peter Larson was recently convicted on charges he procured fossils belonging to the Department of the Interior.

Coptic curiosities

The ancient textile collection from Coptic Egypt of French Egyptologist Albert Jean Gayet was donated to the Henry Art Gallery in 1983. The collection contains 144 separate samples of fabric with eight artifacts in two albums.
