20th Annual Interiors Awards Competition
Article Abstract:
Numerous entries were submitted to the 20th Annual Interiors Awards Competition with the Office categories having the most number of competitors. The 16th floor renovation of McCann-Erickson Worldwide won in the Best Large Office category while Serge Nivelle Studios won in the category for Best Small Office. Resolution: 4 Architecture and Thanhauser and Esterson Architects, respectively, were the firms involved in the two winning office designs. Michael Jordan's-The Steak House won the Best Restaurant design award.

Lipton Teahouse
Article Abstract:
New York City-based Donovan and Green designed the Lipton Teahouse in Pasadena, CA, which is meant to be the prototype for teahouses to be constructed nationwide by the Thomas J. Lipton Co. The 1,800-sq-ft space, equipped with service counter and window counters with stools, was meant to convey the duality of tea. Deep greens the color of tea plants were used as well as golden hues the color of the brew itself.
