A Georgian enclave in old London
Article Abstract:
The neighborhood of Spitalfields, located at London's East End, boasts of a collection of Georgian houses created with rich 18th century designs. The houses were once inhabited by the Huguenots from France. However, the area became a slum during the turn of the century because of the revolution.

Mount Airy: ties that bind
Article Abstract:
Mount Airy has served as a home to the Tayloe family since the 1750s. It is a remaining example of Georgian architecture in America. It underwent restoration in 1981, with the basic design still retained. Though a regal estate by all counts, the place is foremost a home for the Tayloes.

Connecticut's ancient river town
Article Abstract:
Wethersfield's deterioration from a busy shipping port into a farming community has produced a town with almost 200 preserved early houses and buildings. The over 350-year-old town is now the largest historic state district, housing nearly 200 buildings built before 1850.
