A colonial homestead in Wisconsin

A couple had a colonial farmhouse built according to their specifications in their 21-acre property. They patterned the house's exteriors and interiors from two houses in New England and Pennsylvania. They also had a Wisconsin log house reconstructed and filled it with Norwegian and Swedish antiques.

From a 1950s ranch to a period showpiece

A venture capitalist purchased a ranch house in Baltimore, MD, in 1988 to create a 16-room 'Colonial ranch'-style house. The property also includes a guest cottage, four-car garage, a tractor shed, an 1830s Pennsylvania barn and a wildlife habitat in the backyard that is still in the planning stage.
