A real adventure
Article Abstract:
Design firm Ronnette Riley Architect created Coca-Cola's Fifth Avenue retail facilities by applying its ribbon-like logo all over the store. The design firm incorporated state-of-the art lighting systems throughout the store to enliven the elongated C-shape area. The ceiling was made of translucent polycarbonate suspended and set in stainless steel frames. The lighted ceiling created a path from to the back rooom selling area. The ceiling appeared to roll from one end to another with the use of a computerized dimming system which switches white cathodes during the day to red neon at night.

Subtle luxury
Article Abstract:
The offices of Tse Cashmere in California was designed by Mathias Thorner with his unique 'non-design design' styling. The 2,500-sq ft of concrete flooring was just sanded, polished and waxed. The whole area was divided into three separate showrooms and a conference room using free-standing panels perpendicular to the building's columns. Maple was used for the custom-built shelves, selling tables, desks and cabinetry, adding a hint of elegance to the spartan offices.

Lightwaves
Article Abstract:
Design firm Ronette Riley Architects incorporated a suspended, wave-like ceiling into the design of the Coca Cola Fifth Avenue retail facilities to resolve the problem posed by the elongated C-shape of the floor layout. The ceiling, a takeoff from the ribbon-like motif of Coca Cola, was made of polycarbonate material set in stainless steel frames. The lighted ceiling acted as a path to direct customers from the anterior to the posterior sales area.
