A Colonial Revival farmhouse built in 1944 has been transformed into a summer retreat, where a family continues to nurture its love of antiques. Upon its purchase in 1983, a remodeling was planned to create a house that will suit their needs and tastes and accommodate their antique collection.

Round Barn Farm: a Vermont landmark

Article Abstract:

Vermont's Round Barn Farm is an early-20th-century design that was built for dairy farming. Today, Jack and Doreen Simko have redecorated the house as a bed-and-breakfast inn. They also decided to restore some of the original details of the house, such as its bay windows and plank floors.

Historic Orchard Hill

Article Abstract:

A restored New England farmhouse at Orchard Hill Farm in Sonoma County, CA, is described. New Englander Patrick Lawler had originally built the house in 1854 on a land that he purchased from Gen Mariano Vallejo. Owners Richard and Maur Tavernetti had transformed it into a weekend home.
