Brighter alternatives
Article Abstract:
North America's daily newspapers are losing their readership to attractive tabloids. These tabloids are aimed at educated readers between the ages of 18 to 35. They further the cause of discussion among the public by their juxtaposition of style and substance. The emphasis is on the use of humor and catchy designs that are colorful and lively. The inside-pages are noteworthy for their skillful typography, good art and magazine-like design. An aggressive journalistic style is a key aspect for their popularity. A harmonious blending of photos and words also helps their image.
