In interior design, humanism provides the guidelines for the integration of technoloy, design and worker's comfort. A spelling device for the paralyzed
Article Abstract:
A new method of communication for the completely paralyzed has been developed, using slow cortical potentials (SCPs) of the electroencephalogram which drive an electronic spelling device. The spelling device can be operated by regulating the brain responses. It was found that patients lacking muscular control can accurately control variations in their SCPs, enough to operate an electronic spelling device.
