Historic Hope Plantation preserves a political legacy
Article Abstract:
Hope mansion, a legacy to the North Carolina's political history since it was home to Senator David Stone from 1808 to 1810, was purchased and restored by the Bertie County Historical Society. The house has been converted into a museum after its preservation.

The Nicholas Knight House
Article Abstract:
The Nicholas Knight house in Boothbay Center, ME, was built in 1768 and recently renovated by professional house restorer Jeffrey Browne and his interior designer wife Melinda. It only took them less than two years to turn the house into a period showpiece.

An expanded town house on Capitol Hill

Insurance industry lobbyist Chuck Fritzel's home on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. was a house for civil servants during the 19th century. The town house has been remodeled by Fritzel for it to retain its period elegance amid modern comforts.
