The growth imperative
Article Abstract:
The primary objective of corporations is growth but a misunderstanding of growth as a goal will lead to a company's downfall. Thus, a clearer understanding of growth is imperative for corporations to strike a balance between its risks and attractions. Research done by the Corporate Advisory Board revealed that all fast-growth firms will encounter a point at which growth will slow down to a moderate rate. Given such facts, firms should prepare their investors for such an event, rather than artificially boost growth through unwise investments which will lead to a firm's downfall.
