Kettles
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of the developmental history of kettles is presented. In 1900, kettles took 12 minutes to boil, but this time was reduced in 1907 when Peter Behrens developed the immersed element kettle. Russell Hobbs made the first kettle to automatically switch itself off when it had reached boiling point. Next new plastic technology enabled the production of plastic kettles and the following development was the cordless kettle. In future, consumers will seek more durability and value.
